Reflection went into the water almost two weeks ago. We launched with everything from the gunnels down polished, waxed, or painted. Every system gone through, but still a lot of work remaining.\u00a0 The new dodger that Marcia made needed to be fitted, twist & turns and lift-the-dots marked, punched and set. The sails needed to be installed, tweaked and furled away. Go home taking one load off, pick up the last load. Friday\u2019s list – 14 items checked off, four inflatable personal flotation devices (pfd\u2019s) checked. Green, green, green. RED. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marcia\u2019s wouldn\u2019t have worked. (Did we check it last year? We can\u2019t remember.) We need new ones shipped in. I can get some delivered tomorrow. Amazon Locker Whiskey here at the marina. And they won\u2019t deliver it to the locker (because explosive?) . Rose and Dave are home, we get it shipped there and see them by the end of next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check, test, calibrate, configure, clean and stow. Saturday\u2019s list – 10 items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then take a break. Cockpit snacks with Paul and Kristi, dinghy raft-up with Dan and Shelley, dinner with Marla and Gary.\u00a0 So much socializing!\u00a0 Sunday\u2019s list – finish Saturday\u2019s list – and go sailing, and anchor out for lunch. (Because testing the windlass was on the list!). Not on Sunday\u2019s list – dropping the helm seat on my right big toe. Nice hematoma under the nail, but almost all under the lunula (that half-moon shape at the base). Not recommended to make hole there to relieve pressure.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday\u2019s list – three items. Wash, polish wax the shiny parts of the deck. Check all the engine fluids. Load of laundry. All finished by 3pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
